I liked the issue of starting from the point of the stone, and issues based onto Palestine, that move onto an operating system that allows a building of space instead of cinema and seperated issues.

Relation between analyse images of mass media, relation with young palestinian and israeli artists
Propose to do a work in contact with palestinian artist- one israeli artists, together to analyze information from the media. Interpet analyze, and to do a small publication with it.
Likes the idea that you start form the subject and analyze the idea of the images and the means that we have to interpret this reality.

I am interested in how the new architecture, as virtual architecture, is in place of old architecture, and to try and use new architecture to show or form one identity. The change of the decades is in media architecture identity, .. it is important as one sees all the forms of communication is to dominate – the principle is the mass media.The virtual is important as the concept is changed, non-linearity, one can choose what information, more freedom. More possibility for space of resistance.
Interesting to develop this concept architecture as virtual of space of resistance...

Intrested in..the relations of power at work analyzed through the mechanisms of construction and representation of an identity. Mechanisms analyzed through the historical analysis of the representation of a particular medium, and method of work.

My frist desire for this workshop, it is not about theme, but first of all experimenting in collaboration, Therefore I am in the ccc. Workshop is a place for exercise, a method is interesting for this. If we are here outside the reality, if we want to work together the first material is us here, and the place, and the artistic field... I often have the feeling that this “here” is outside reality, and I don’t like that. In the CCC program we are able to speak on politics and we just have what is around. For example the law that has to be voted this week about refugees, in referring to a closed Switzerland. I am asking myself, if I don’t like refguees to be the theme, and how am I related to this as a Swiss person.(Charles: The construction of the refugee identity in Switzerland is an issue on television and in newspaper. The image was produced in context of the new law that will be voted on soon.)
It is interesting to compare to the Swiss identity that is problematic, alot of folklore, tourist images. The foreigners identity is used to compare to say, what the Swiss is not.
(Daniel – if you go deep into the valley of... you find Swiss people that never imagined. I always lived in Geneva and never saw the rest. )
I would agree that the material we have is us and our connections to outside, in this workshop the method is of interest as I am not familiar.

I am also more interested in the abstract part of this workshop, mode of thinking, networks, but going into operating systems and writing ourselves a script to a certain situation. I think we can continue a sensibilisation of existing structures and strategies of media. How to bring ideas into space and finding interlinked forms. What is important to me is to have an exchange of group and experience, joins to the idea of Charles, of working methodology, to experience this. You also mention a sense of actuality – critieria.The direction I am interested in are globlisation, and post colonial issues, and one of the questions might be the analysis of immigration, from north to south, and south to north. The rich part – poor part, where the exchange takes place, and the perspective to build their lives, the economies bring companies to the south to exploit working conditions. Migration.

For me thinking about codes, if you work interdisciplinary you have different scientists, architects have their codes and involves inclusion and exclusion. I thought about these codes if they are important or not, to use their vocabulary. To put them out or in within ones own set of codes, if you make a project to whom does this reach. Who is being addressed. To work in a way where public(s) can get reached, but get a level that is not too low. Also big themes, globalisation, immigration, are not easy to get without experts.. people who are really in this. I have problems with the large themes as they don’t give me a position with which to grasp a point I relate to, as a subject. For me the first step was to get to the codes. I dont know .. whether to start with a theme or a space... it always depends on what theme or media we take.
The workshop is a media, but there has be intersections and networks forming.
