Individual reflection on Session 1: Workshop Search-Pattern
and the materials brought together.
This is a form of transcription that documents each participant's reflections at this stage in the project. It is produced in a one-on-one situation this time, between FA and participant. This phase should serve as a way to access the material of the workshop by offering a narrative of compression or condensation, and utilizing the difference between spoken/transcribed and written word and thoughts.
It is stressing difference between individuals, but joining their issues as seen through its development as procedures. As well, this continues to establish certain roles in the relations that situate FA in the discourse.
The transcription is made directly available, and soon after also on the website, as an offer for the participants to consider their words as well in comparison to their colleagues, to incorporate in terms of their next stage.
Documents
Each participant selects references that serve as orientation guides for the next procedural phase of development leading towards "scripting" concepts.
Final Individual Texts
This term is applied to mark the phase of the workshop process that is leading up to the institutional evaluation.
The goal of these final texts is not to provide a document that allows to be given a mark of merit, but to enable the understanding of completing one cycle in a process of cycles. This may identify how the material within the workshop has been developed thus far, while providing the foundation material for a second (altering/developing) cycle.
It is important to note, the workshop had specifically began with a consideration of its role as an institutional/pedagogical process, implying process at work.
Therefore, the focus here remains on educational frameworks, which are understood as necessary in the open development and experience of the arts workshop as both focusing on and experimenting 'scripting' process.
Each individual's text synthesizes the material thus far (the various individual and group materials, documents, screenings, and dialogs that evidence the search pattern for a workshop 'syntax', and will provide fundamental plot points which define the routes of various desires for the workshop process ) and transformed these anew in the form of an individual 'script' - the 'final text'.
